Make plans for July 26 & 27, 2013! Come celebrate old time mountain music at the beautiful Daniel Boone Jaycee’s Farm in Morehead, Kentucky

“The Morehead Old Time Festival was started by Brett Ratliff in 2005. Back then it was called The Morehead Old Time Fiddler’s Convention. Over time the gathering grew to be much more than a Fiddler’s Convention.

The goal of The Morehead Old Time Festival is to preserve Kentucky’s rich heritage of old time music. The festival is managed by the Kentucky Old Time Music Inc. and runs entirely upon volunteers.

“I enjoy a wide variety of music and I attend a lot of live shows across Kentucky and around the area. I will say that the Morehead Old Time Music Festival is one of my most favorite festivals anywhere. I am sure that Cliff Top is probably a great one too but I havent made it there yet. I love the atmosphere and the old time music is so good you just can’t sit still and listen to it!” ~ David Slone

In memory and honor of Fred W Brown Jr. 1954 – 2011

Fred was a big part of The Morehead Old Time Festival and most of us knew him. Fred was a Kentucky author and historian and song writer. He will be greatly missed by the many friends and loved ones he left behind.”
