Lexington, KY – Wednesday October 10, 2012 at 7:00pm RED BARN RADIO, in partnership with WUKY will stream and record it’s weekly live radio show at the W.T. Young Library on UK campus. The Laurel River Line will be the headlining the show.
“Old-Time, Americana, and Bluegrass are reaching new and younger audiences every day. By producing a show at UK we have a chance to expose students to the rich musical heritage of Kentucky and show audiences how a live show is produced and the 4 young men that make up The Laurel River Line are great fit for the evening,” explains Ed Commons, Executive Producer of RED BARN RADIO.
The Laurel River Line combines four-way vocal talent with hard driving mash up of Bluegrass, Gospel and Old Time traditions. A group of passionate bluegrass pickers; they enjoy pickin’ bluegrass music anywhere and everywhere.
WUKY was the first university-owned FM radio station in America and Kentucky’s first public radio station. WUKY and RED BARN RADIO have been partners for the past 11 years. WUKY broadcasts the syndicated show on Saturday evening each week.
